Gary Sims

Chief Operations Officer

Gary Sims serves as Chief Operating Officer for Brand Construction, overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, leading and mentoring the team, and helping maintain a steady pipeline of new work. He is involved throughout the project process, including estimating, project kickoff, weekly project meetings, and overall project oversight from start to finish.

Gary brings 28 years of experience in the mechanical and construction industries. Before joining Brand Construction, he owned and operated a licensed mechanical contracting company for 20 years and managed businesses with as many as 30 employees. His experience includes government and VA hospital projects, commercial and industrial facilities, residential construction, HVAC, chillers and central plant systems, plumbing, and piping. Gary holds a Texas HVAC license and completed five years of training through the Local 529 Plumbers, Pipefitters and HVAC union trade school, where he later served as an instructor teaching refrigeration.

Gary takes a hands-on, practical approach to both operations and customer relationships. He believes customers deserve honest, straightforward answers and should always understand what is happening on their project and where it is headed. His goal is to use his experience to anticipate problems, support the project team, and do whatever is necessary to help deliver the work successfully.

As a partner in Brand Construction, Gary values the company’s family-oriented culture, integrity, and willingness to go above and beyond for its customers. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his wife, Brenna, their two daughters, and five grandchildren.
